Detroit: Become Human has already sold 10 million copies since its debut in 2018. Quantic Dream’s beloved sci-fi-thriller is about Androids gaining consciousness in the city of Detroit.
Players control different Android characters and make choices that affect the story. Accordingly, they explored themes such as humanity, free will and civil rights. The 10 million sales figure shows that a game in this field has achieved a first in years.
In a tweet, Quantic Dream CEO Guillaume de Fondaumière expressed his gratitude for this achievement. “You mean the world to us and we couldn’t have achieved this incredible success without each and every one of you,” he said in a tweet.
Become Human received critical acclaim at launch and continues to find new players through subscriptions such as PlayStation Plus. Many users have been calling for new content or a new game to be released.
But since the game’s debut and a manga adaptation, no concrete plans for Become Human have been announced.
